Rise: London United Festival8 July, Finsbury Park London's biggest free music festival features an eclectic mix of hip-hop, indie, pop, jazz and reggae. Make sure you visit Stand Up For Africa's exhibition stand. Our special guest Sandi will be signing autographs and fundraising for SUFA's Youth Drop-In Centre Project before she heads off for on her Big Bike Trip. There's something for everyone - live bands, fashion, sports, arts and crafts, information and advice, workshops, and food and drink stalls. And Stand Up For Africa will be there with our own exhibition stand. What more could you want! African Showcase 200621-22 July: Willesden Green Centre, 23 July: Walthamstow, 28-29 July: Milton Keynes, 5 August: Camden, 18 August: Barking, 25 August: Acton, 1-2 September: Wembley, 17 September: Acton The annual African Showcase celebrates diversity and promotes commerce in each of the communities it visits. The traditional African market setting features African dancers, Talking drums, workshops for all ages, African food and drink, fashion, arts and crafts, and charity stalls. It also showcases the best in street arts, including pyrotechnics, illuminations, art installations, river events, street theatre, massed choirs, circus and music. At the festival's climactic Night Carnival, tens of thousands of revelers dress up in fantastic costumes and dance through the streets.
