Côte d'Ivoire

Map showing Côte d'Ivoire in west Africa

Since the late 1990's, Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa, has experienced serious unrest fuelled by ethnic divisions. Hundreds of thousands of people, many of them children, have been displaced from their homes and there has been a steady decline in living conditions. Few displaced children go to school.

SUFA is currently expanding our work to Côte d'Ivoire, where communities are desperately in need of food aid, water rehabilitation and rebuilding of health and education facilities.

We will be working with local partner ONG Fides, which aims to improve health and education services, and to provide opportunities for income generation, especially among young people and families affected by conflict.

We will be launching our Côte d'Ivoire Project very soon and will keep you updated with the latest news about our work.
